Hi, I'm Sarah.
I grew up in beautiful Cornwall and now live in North Bristol.
I'm Mum to two teenagers and two cockapoos, Cooper and Willow.
Before setting up my natural health business, I spent many years working in Senior HR roles.
For the past 14 years, I have been on my own wellness and healing journey, getting to the root cause of an autoimmune diagnosis and following my own wellness plan to return to optimum health.
I believe we already have inside us the tools and wisdom to bring about the changes we want, and need, to make to live our best lives. Sometimes we just need a helping hand to bring it all to the surface...that's where I come in!
The life experiences I've been through personally and the different environments I have worked in means that I am able to empathise and hold genuine space for you when we work together.
I am all about natural healing and love nothing more than supporting my clients and seeing them restore optimal health and wellness.
I take an integrated approach to the way I work, drawing on a number of resources depending on the support you are looking for and what your goals are.
I tap into a powerful combination of insights and wisdom from functional health and wellbeing practices as well as coaching methodology and intuitive guidance.
I empower my clients to trust their inner wisdom and guidance which helps them to arrive at key a-ha moments that accelerate their healing journey.
Some 20 years ago, I was attuned to Reiki and in 2017 started my training to become a qualified Kinesiologist.
My professional Foundation and Practitioner Kinesiology qualifications are from The Academy of Systematic Kinesiology (TASK), which was founded in 1985 by Brian Butler who brought Kinesiology to Britain in 1976.
I qualified to Professional Diplomate level with the Kinesiology Association. This is the highest level of Kinesiology qualification in the UK.
I also have Diplomas in Diet and Nutritional Advise, Meditation and a Certificate in Anatomy & Physiology.
I love learning and continually add more techniques and skills to my tool kit.
The way I work integrates my unique set of experiences, skills, learnings and wisdom to ensure that you receive the best possible combination of guidance and support for your own healing journey.
I am a Trustee, Tutor and Diplomate Member of the Kinesiology Association, a professional body for Kinesiology who promote high standards of ethics, training and practice for Kinesiology practitioners. The KA are the largest organisation of Professional Kinesiologists in the UK.
Back in 2011, I was diagnosed with a subclinical autoimmune condition called Hashimoto’s; autoimmune hypothyroidism or underactive thyroid. I have always believed that symptoms are the body's way of telling us what's wrong and that the body has an innate ability to heal itself given the right support. That's why I wanted to understand WHY and WHAT might have been the trigger to my body attacking my thyroid so that I could heal over time and get the condition into remission.
I began doing extensive research into Hashimoto's and autoimmune diseases in general because I wanted to understand the triggers and how to reverse them. Autoimmunity is complex, yet there are some commonalities and themes in the triggers and it IS reversible with the right, whole person centred approach.
I first began working with a Kinesiologist in 2015 with the aim of understanding what was the root cause of autoimmunity in my case. I wanted to learn how to bring my body back to it's natural state of 'balance' (homeostasis) so that it could begin to self heal.
When the body is in balance it can heal itself naturally; that is what our bodies are designed to do...think of how a scab forms and heals our skin when we cut ourselves and how all of our cells are completely renewed every 7 years! The human body is simply amazing!
My own healing journey, and having now supported hundreds of people on their own journeys, is evidence that every illness, condition, niggle, ache or pain has a ROOT CAUSE. Pinpointing the root cause is where the magic is at; I always treat the CAUSE of a client's imbalance, not the SYMPTOM. Working in this way not only makes sense, it also allows self-healing to begin and symptoms start to disappear.
